Field of view (FOV)

A built-in FOV slider was added to the game on March 13, 2020[2] with support to adjust the gameplay FOV between 70-100° (defaults to 70° on 16:9), however cutscene FOV remains locked to 70° unless modded.
Edit GameUserSettings.ini[3]
  1. Open %LOCALAPPDATA%\Terminator\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini with a text editor.
  2. Find a line starting with FieldOfView= and change its value.
Use the Terminator: Resistance FOV changer[4]
Real-time FOV adjustment.
Affects cutscenes, allowing to compensate for Vert- scaling at 21:9 and wider resolutions but may be undesirable at 16:9.

Depth of field and chromatic aberration

Disable depth of field and chromatic aberration[5]
  1. In the graphics menu, set "Post-Processing" to medium. This disables chromatic aberration and depth of field while retaining ambient occlusion shadows.
  2. For additional sharpness, motion blur can also be disabled in the graphics menu.

Lens smudges and dirt

Remove lens smudges/dirt by installing this mod: Disable Lens Dirt effect for Bloom[6]

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/954740/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (954740) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
