I installed the game, but when I tried to run it, it doesn't launch at all, there isn't even a "not responding" error. I tried installing the widescreen fix, running with administrator previlages, setting compatibility to windows XP service pack 3, even putting the iso in the virtual drive. It doesn't work.
Talk:Ultimate Spider-Man
It won't work while the executable still has the drm in it. It can't be included on PCGamingWiki, but that is what you need to make that game run.
Now the game appears in the taskbar for a second and disappears, it still doesn't matter if I run it with either winXP compatibility or widescreen fix or both.
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Activision\Ultimate Spider-Man\ and delete the Ultimate Spider-Man key
didn't work
The game does not work on modern Windows due to the SafeDisc DRM functionality being removed from Windows 10 and up due to security concerns. Either use a cracked .exe removing the DRM or follow the directions listed here to reenable the DRM functionality in Windows (which is considered unsafe currently due to the vulnerability it poses): https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Digital_rights_management_(DRM)#SafeDisc
PCSX2 forum user asasega made a 60fps code for the PS2 version of the game. It makes videos play at double speed and hung on loading screens sometimes, but otherwise it works pretty well. I'd be interested in seeing this recreated in the Windows port because it would obviously work better than emulating the PS2 version, but I don't have the know-how to find the equivalent memory values.
The new widescreen fix adds support for uncapped frame rates (60+ FPS): https://thirteenag.github.io/wfp#usm
Damn, ThirteenAG is on fire! I hoped for a fix like this for years.
