Alright, i'm not an avid wikier so here it goes:

The game sometimes seems to have issues saving the settings and by defaults starts with everything set to the lowest, including the resolution.

These settings are supossed to be saved into the registery, wich the game can't do unless it's given admin rights, if for some reason you can't give the game admin rights you can change these settings via the registery on the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\Need for Speed ProStreet

The current Audi R8 "fix" linked on the page replaces it with the 2017 variant - esentially a completely different car with a 3D model from a much newer game.

It is a full-on car mod, not a fix. Unfortunately, no proper fix exists, not anymore.

Unfortunately it is lost media, as the downloadable zip archive only has a txt file with a dead GDrive link. If anyone has a copy of this mod please reupload it somewhere as there's currently no actual fix for the Audi R8

I've already tried to search for it on multiple websites, but couldn't find any trace of the proper files. That's why I've linked the 2017 variant, since we don't have access to the mod that you've linked.

Well that sucks. I suppose porting over the console files isn't easy otherwise someone would have done that by now.

So I've found a fix for the Logitech G29's force feedback for ProStreet, I don't know if it'll work for everyone but all you have to do is install Logitech's gaming software (and probably restart). You can find it at Logitech's support website and download the latest version.
