Add Okami to the list of AutoHDR titles

2
Summary by Thealpha31

Okami HD has been added to the list.

Batsytk (talkcontribs)

Okami HD has AutoHDR support. As I play through my library and find new games I might come back here to make another suggestion.

Not sure why this page is locked behind requests. It needs to be cleaned up, sorted, and added to. What's the issue here?

Ritzybusiness (talkcontribs)

I am going to start adding it to game pages when I find a game that uses it.

Jigen123 (talkcontribs)

@Ritzybusiness No, stop doing that. Please, read the editing guide:
If an alternative method is required, such as Special K's HDR retrofit or Auto HDR, set this field to false as that will automatically populate a link to the glossary page.

Would like to add games to this list regularly.

I would like to contribute games to this list regularly in the future as I've noticed there are games I've played that are not on this list.

Two games for example that should be added are: -Sonic Frontiers -Final Fantasy XIV Online

Also there are games that support AutoHDR but also have Native HDR settings (i.e. Resident Evil 2 and 3). An option could be to add a 3rd column to note if a game also supports native HDR. Only reason I bring this up are that some games native HDR setting breaks when AutoHDR is also enabled and it doubles up sometimes (i.e. Resident Evil 2 and 3) so you end up having to turn off AutoHDR to not break the HDR in these games.

Thanks

Three games support auto HDR.

I can confirm Mafia: Definitive Edition on Steam supports auto HDR on Windows 11.

Final Fantasy IV and V pixel remaster also support auto HDR, but for some reason FFVI pixel remaster doesn't. If someone can verify it can it be added?

Auto HDR support can depend on storefront used/executable name

Expertdarkmode (talkcontribs)

Microsoft relies on some sort of whitelist database that appears to cross-reference the name of the executable at least to determine whether Auto HDR is enabled. For example, Outer Wilds supports Auto HDR on Game Pass but doesn't appear to on Steam. They are different software versions but I suspect it is mainly because the Game Pass executable is named Outer Wilds.exe while the Steam executable does not contain a space. I do not think it is possible to change a Steam executable file name without it being immediately repaired before launch so I cannot confirm but there are other reports agreeing with this.

Anyway, we should really specify which storefront or game version is supported because this isn't the only game doing this.

What are the criteria for games in this list?

Hi guys, what are the criteria for adding games to this list? Do they need to be somehow officially confirmed by developer or Microsoft?

Because I just installed Windows 11, and started to open all my games one-by-one, with Auto HDR enabled. And I can say that, for example, following games are now definitely displayed as HDR: Dead Island; Homefront 2 The Revolution; Far Cry Primal.

I even did comparison with Windows HDR on and Auto HDR off - and they do look different.

So I'm wondering if I can add these games to the list?
