Something to note - this game doesn't run on a CPU with more than a certain number of logical processors (I think it's 16). The only solution seems to be using a batch file to launch the game with CPU affinity set to use only 4 logical processors, though YMMV. For me (using a Ryzen 7 3700X), the Steam version refused to launch at all, but the GOG version did work using the aforementioned affinity trick.

Discovered a more permanent and less janky fix, edited the page to reflect.
GOG seems to store the saves somewhere else (as an alternative to the Steam-subfolder) OR the game on Steam does not store the saves additionally in its usual place. See disccusion.
Hi, I got this game today from gog. The game is running ok in ultra-widescreen here, I'm using 2560x1080. It starts automatically with this configuration from first time. And, it seems there is a bug with sound if using 7.1. I have a Logitech G633, and this headset driver always and just appear as 7.1 on Windows, even if 7.1/surround is not activated with Logitech Gaming Software, then I have no sound with this headset. I read some topics on steam discussions about this problem. I have other headset here that works as normal stereo plugged in motherboard sound, then I just use it.
