Shouldn't the HDR video setting be false if it was removed?
Talk:ARK: Survival Evolved
Did they drop it *again* ? v272.3 supposedly re-added the option based on this forum thread.
Pretty sure, I tested a couple months ago and don't remember finding a way to enable it. I will redownload and test it again.
EDIT: Just downloaded the game, and the game refuses to go into exclusive fullscreen mode, so I cannot test it unfortunately. Looking through the config files saw no mention of HDR though, so I doubt it actually has support.
Just tried ARK today, exclusive fullscreen worked, but no HDR options. Enabling HDR before opening game also doesn't work, with no options. Loading into game, HDR is not working.
Thanks for the confirmation, I've set the parameter to false.
I have seen beatiful footage of the game but for me the textures look like 144p and everything is just broken
What are your System specs?
Could you post a screenshot?
Check your gpu control panel and make sure LOD/filtering quality is set to high.
So, i managed DLC on ark, activated all 4 DLCs and turned out i dont have enough space. Now i can't cancel DLC download and choose to install only 1 DLC because manage DLC option is not there anymore and my ark keep asking to get updated. How do i fix it? need a help here. Thanks
Yeah, that same thing happened to me too! I would advise you to First of all Close the EpicGamesLauncher then move your whole game installation folder to a new location and then open the EpicGames Launcher.
Now check if in your library it shows that you have not installed the game, if not then click install and wait for a few seconds of install then click on the cancel button.
Next, you move the whole Ark game file back to the same location where you just installed the game and let it overwrite the existing game files.
Now open the Epic Games Launcher and now resume the install, instead of downloading the whole game, the launcher will just verify the existed game files which you had downloaded before asking this question on PCGamingWiki. The verification process may take up to half an hour as the game is more than a 100GB in size and when that is done you can simply launch the game like before.
ok well i dont know if it worked for you but it didnt for me , thank you anyways
Why what happened? Can you explain?
Ultragamer, can you explain this a bit more? im having the same issue. I had to uninstall a large amount of games for ARK, and i'm not sure if I can muster up enough space for the DLC. because of this, I need to cancel.
to be more specific for what I need, I am on windows 10. I went to Windows(C:)/Program Files/Epic Games and dragged the ARK folder into my "downloads" folder. when that was done, I reopened the epic games launcher but it still said the game was installed
i think i might have figured it out. I moved the ARK folder out of the epic games folder and uninstalled it on the launcher. this might work
yeah i got it. since I did not have the space to install the game again, I had to drag the ARK folder back into the Epic Games folder while ARK was about to install, and now its verifying
I am happy that you were able to solve your issue!
