Patch 1.5.3603 beta is the latest official patch.

Patching the GOG version

Install or copy the game files to C:\Program Files\THQ\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance\.
Rename <path-to-game>\bin\SupremeCommander.exe to <path-to-game>\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe.
Copy the patcher to the <path-to-game>\bin\ folder and run it.
The initial process will fail. Uncheck the Safe Mode checkbox and press Start.
It will still claim it failed, but it will actually overwrite ForgedAlliance.exe.
Rename <path-to-game>\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe back to <path-to-game>\bin\SupremeCommander.exe.
The main menu now should have the 3603 version number in the top right corner.

The only relevant differences between the patched GOG and the Steam version will be SupremeCommander.exe and a couple of LUA files in the <path-to-game>\gamedata\lua.scd archive. The difference in the LUA files are related to the Steam-based multiplayer and general lobby rules.

Forged Alliance Forever

Forged Alliance Forever is a third party modification. Forged Alliance. This includes balance tweaks and a new multiplayer interface to replace the no longer supported GPGnet. It is currently only compatible with the Steam version of the game, not retail or GOG.com versions.
