Issues fixed

Game application doesn't launch or crashes upon starting new game

Add the game's .exe-file to exceptions for ALL antiviruses and/or firewalls running on your system[1]
Application working for a few seconds after launch and then silently terminating, or crashing sometime after accessing main menu is likely caused by antivirus/firewall software shutting it down.
  1. Add the game's .exe to exceptions for ALL "active protection" services of your antiviruses/firewalls: Core Shields in Avast, Advanced Threat Defense in Bitdefender etc.
  2. When using Comodo or any other service that tracks shell injections, make sure to specifically allow them too by also adding .exe to this feature's exceptions. For Comodo Firewall, go to Settings > Advanced Protection > Miscellaneous > Don't detect shell injections in these applications (click the highlighted "these applications" section, in the new window add the path to .exe to the list)[2].
  3. If the problem persists, try disabling the antivirus/firewall altogether, either just while starting up the game or for the whole duration of play.

Green glow and green flickering screen corruption

Fixed on Nvidia Cards

Issue fixed on Nvidia Driver 465.89 from March 30th 2021.

Notes

Not tested with AMD GPUs yet. If issue is present, use workarounds:
  1. Lock FPS to 30 using in game options.

OR

  1. Go to the in-game Video (Advanced) menu.
  2. Disable Depth of Field.

Textures and shadows flickering on Windows 7

Set the resolution to 1080p or higher[citation needed]
  1. Set the resolution to 1080p or above through the in-game menu.
  2. Restart the game.

Notes

Game needs to be restarted after every resolution change in order to avoid the bug.

Resolution not scaling correctly with non default DPI scaling

Enable "High DPI scaling override"
  1. Go to the game install folder, right click on "Sunset.exe"
  2. Select the "Compatibility" tab, click "Change High DPI Settings"
  3. Check "High DPI scaling override" and select "Application"

Stuttering while traversing though the world

Install the game on a HDD instead of a SSD[3]
Issue is worse on a NVMe drive

Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/847370/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (847370) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
