Key points
- Easy installation/upgrades/uninstallation and purchasing; available everywhere Windows is officially sold.
- UWP games are very restricted, and if certain graphics settings aren't supported, they can't be hacked in by third-party software such as Nvidia Control Panel.
- Only XInput controllers are supported with controller supported titles.[1]
The Windows Store is an app store introduced with Windows 8 and Windows RT. Purchased apps can be used on up to 81 devices for Windows 8 and 8.1[2] or 10 devices for Windows 10;[3] systems can be remotely removed from this total if they are dead, stolen, or otherwise inaccessible.
Windows apps always run at the desktop resolution and scale correctly to all resolutions and aspect ratios but do not spread across multi-monitor setups. Windows apps require a minimum resolution of 1024x768 (desktop applications can be used at lower resolutions as usual but Windows apps will refuse to launch).[4]

Issues unresolved
Screen recorders, overlays, injectors won't work
- Most screen recorders, overlays and injectors doesn't seem to work and need update from developer.
- Intel Graphics Performance Analyzers should be able to measure performance of Windows Store apps, including FPS. However, only up to Windows 8.1 with R2 release, Windows 10 support is coming in future release.[6]
- Some recorders have been updated to support Windows apps, including: Dxtory[7] and OBS[8]
