Sales on GOG.com happen in regular basis, the most recent one called '''Weekly Sale''', which starts in each Monday at 11 AM GMT, additional games are added to it in each Friday at the same hour the sale starts. Big sales usually happen a week or two before Steam's happens and adds themed bundles on sale, along with single games in every day. The best moment to redeem Steam games to GOG.com via GOG Connect is when the sale is coming to an end.

The client features the built-in launcher for each game, integration with Wine, DOSBox and SCUMMVM and configure it for the specific game, applying community patches and more. Issues fixed

Games or items missing from library

Refresh the account state with this page[3]

Can't extract BINs manually

Newer multi-part Windows installers cannot be extracted with innounp or innoextract due to using password-protected RAR archives (.BIN).[4]
Archive protection is due to be removed.[5]
Use extraction script[citation needed]
  1. Use innoextract with gog_unpack.sh (single-part) or gog_unrar.py (multi-part).

Other information

Change a game's language (GOG Galaxy)

Go To The Settings Tab[citation needed]
  1. Press the arrow button which appears when highlighting an installed game.
  2. Select Settings and from there, you can choose any available language you want for your current game.

Notes

The Settings tab can be also found from the dropdown menu while pressing the More button in a game's hub.
Language can be also chosen before installing the game.

Verify & Repair (GOG Galaxy)

Verify & Repair[citation needed]
  1. Open Galaxy and choose the game from the list.

  2. Select Settings and in Updates section, choose Manually.

Create game shortcut that launches with GOG Galaxy (Windows)

  1. Create a shortcut to GalaxyClient.exe. By default, this is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\GalaxyClient.exe
  2. Right-click the shortcut and click Properties. On the Shortcut tab, add the following Command line arguments to the Target:
    • /command=runGame
    • /gameId=<game-id>. Replace <game-id> with the internal GOG.com game ID. [Note 1]
    • /path="<path-to-game>"
  3. Click choose icon, and browse for the desired desktop icon for the shortcut. The default icon can be found at <path-to-game>\goggame-<game-id>.ico or <path-to-game>\gfw_high.ico.
  4. Apply changes.

Notes

This can be useful for games that support Galaxy-exclusive features, such as multiplayer or cloud saves.

Sales

Most big sales, let you redeem a free game, depending on how many experience points you get by buying the game or doing objectives.

Sales on GOG.com happen on a regular basis. There are weekly sales that start on Mondays at 3 PM CE(S)T, mid-week sales that start on Wednesdays at 3 PM CE(S)T, and weekend sales that start on Fridays at 3 PM CE(S)T, and are usually themed. They end on the next Monday right as the new weekly sale begins. Sometimes, extra sales may occur, usually themed around a single franchise or publisher.

Big sales usually happen a week or two before Steam's happens and adds themed bundles on sale, along with single games in every day. The best moment to redeem Steam games to GOG.com via GOG Connect is when the sale is coming to an end.
