Widescreen resolution

Set resolution[citation needed]
  1. Go to the user configuration location.
  2. Open game.cfg with your text editor of choice.
  3. Add the variables and modify the values with your desired resolution:
r_Width = 1280
r_Height = 800

Field of view (FOV)

This game uses vertical FOV. See FOV Calculator for help.
Modify field of view[3]
  1. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  2. Create and edit user.cfg.
  3. Add con_restricted = 0 at the top of the text file.
  4. Add these variables and modify the values with your desired FOV.
cl_FOV = 74
r_DrawNearFOV = 74
pl_movement.power_sprint_target_FOV = 74

Notes

UI elements rendered in front of the character will be weird now, and putting on a helmet will severely reduce your FOV.
