Key points

Remastered version of StarCraft features include redrawn graphics, support for high resolution assets, up to 4K screen resolution, the ability to zoom in and out during battle, and revised dialogue and audio.

Remaster and original share the same codebase.

Remastered and regular users will be able to play with each other.

The classic game that is free as of version 1.18, released on April 18, 2017. Includes both the base game StarCraft and the StarCraft: Brood War expansion.

StarCraft: Remastered

Remastered version of the classic game that comes with enhanced narrative, remastered dialogue, audio, and graphics up to 4K with widescreen support. The version also includes support for cloud saves, matchmaking and leaderboards, and have been localized in 13 languages.
