Use dgVoodoo2[1]
  1. Download dgVoodoo 2.
  2. Extract D3DImm.dll and DDraw.dll to the installation folder, where sb3.exe is located.
  3. Open dgVoodooCpl.exe and go to DirectX and configure your settings.

Improvements and Fixes[edit]

No-CD Fix[edit]

To launch the game, the CD must be inserted. This causes problems on modern devices that do not have a CD drive. [citation needed]
Remove CD-Check[2]
  1. Open sb3.exe in HxD.
  2. Press CTRL+R and go to the Hex-Value tab
  3. Search for 84 C0 75 07 6A 04 E9 55 01 00 00 and replace it with 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90
  4. Set Search Direction to All and press Replace All
  5. Save the result as a new file called sb3p.exe (or anything other than sb3.exe)

Notes

While this does remove the CD-Check it's still unstable on modern systems. You might need to open the patched file multiple times until the game launches.
