Minimal HUD

Use Sonic Lost World - Minimal HUD Mod and a mod manager (Sonic Lost World Mod Loader or SonicGMI)[2]
Disables some "redundant" HUD elements, some of which are persistent.
The current version removes the item suitcase selection circle, but there are only five icons placed vertically.
