Featured Mods

This list is not comprehensive, the SADX Mod Installer includes additional mods that are not listed below.
Sonic Community Hacking Guide for Sonic Adventure DX PC on Sonic Retro.
  • Sonic Adventure DX: Fixed Edition - Contains various fixes in relation to item layouts, textures, models, sounds, and more.
  • Dreamcast Conversion - This mod restores Dreamcast assets (levels, textures, sounds, and some objects/effects) except for character models and textures.
  • Dreamcast Lighting - Reimplementation of the Dreamcast Sonic Adventure's palette lighting. This mod requires d3d8to9.
    • Minor Palette Fixes - Extension for the Lantern Engine that fixes some objects being lit too brightly in Station Square (Night) and Mystic Ruins Chao Garden (Evening).
    • GameCube Style Lighting - Extension for the Lantern Engine that attempts to recreate the lighting as appeared on the GameCube.

  • Input Mod - Fixes camera issues with XInput controllers, enables rumble, fixes triggers, etc.
  • Keyboard Remapper - Adds speedrun-friendly input remapping for keyboard. Incompatible with Input Mod.
  • Smooth Cam - Makes the first person camera full range and variable speed instead of 8-directional fixed speed.
  • No Gloss - Removes the "shininess" (specular highlights) from character models.
  • Chao Spin Swap - Swaps X and B buttons in the Chao Garden. X to spindash, B to grab your Chao.
  • Super Sonic - Play as Super Sonic in any stage after completing his story.

  • GameCube Textures - Replaces the heavily compressed textures with their less compressed (and sometimes higher resolution) GameCube equivalents.
  • AI HD Textures - Dreamcast textures neural network upscaled with Topaz AI Gigapixel.
