Copy over files from the CD
Open the `SONIC` folder on the CD and copy all the subfolders (`ART`, `AVI`, `MAP`, `MIDI`, `TEX`, `WAV`). Extract the folders to the `<path-to-game>`. Open `%WINDIR%\SONICSH.INI`. Replace all CD path entries for variables under the `[PATHS]` section with the corresponding paths for folders in the `<path-to-game>` (e.g. `Tex=D:\Sonic\tex\` --> `Tex=C:\SonicNT\tex\`). Save the file.
