Performance issues

Reports show having multiple monitors plugged in causes performance issues.
Unplug non-primary monitors[4]

Run the game at screen refresh rate

Fullscreen mode defaults to 60 Hz even if the screen refresh rate is set higher than that.
Override refresh rate set by game, with 3Dmigoto[5]
  1. Download 3Dmigoto (or download Disable_textures_v3.7z if you want to remove texture overlays).
  2. Extract d3d11.dll, d3dcompiler_46.dll, and d3dx.ini from x64\ to the installation folder.
  3. Open d3dx.ini and go to the [Device] section.
  4. Change ;refresh_rate=60 to refresh_rate=120 or your desired refresh rate (make sure to remove the ;).
  5. Change hunting=1 to hunting=0 under the [Hunting] section to turn off shader hunting options. Optionally you can delete everything else in the d3dx.ini besides the 2 lines [Device] and refresh_rate=120 should anything be causing you issues.

  3. Click "Add", locate Sekiro and add the selected program.
  4. In the Feature list, set "Preferred refresh rate" to "Highest available".
