Edit the executable with a hex editor such as HxD[1]
  1. Open the retail SegaGT.exe in a hex editor.
  2. Go to offset A5F0C and change 01 to 00.
  3. Go to offset 8922C and change 4D01 to A600.
  4. Go to offset 89258 and change 4D01 to A600.
  5. Go to offset 897B4 and change 4D01 to A600.
  6. Change all the hexadecimal values of 0000F041 to 00007042, there are twelve of them.
  7. Some versions require the following changes instead:
    1. Go to offset A5F00 and change 01 to 00.
    2. Go to offset 89220 and change 4D01 to A600.
    3. Go to offset 89250 and change 4D01 to A600.
    4. Go to offset 897B0 and change 4D01 to A600.
    5. Change all the hexadecimal values of 0000F041 to 00007042, there are twelve of them.
