Controller support

For button prompts the game seems to only recognize a small set of controllers. Unrecognized controllers display generic button prompts.

Replace generic button prompts with Xbox or Playstation buttons[2]
  1. Navigate to the game's installed directory and locate the file TaueConfig.json
  2. Open this file in your editor of choice and under Pads locate the entry for your controller by checking the mDeviceName. If you are using Steam's controller input, it is likely to be "Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows)".
  3. A couple of lines below the mDeviceName entry matching your controller will be a line reading "Preset" : "-"
  4. Change the "-" to read "XboxOne" or "PS4", then save the file.

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/1356670/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (1356670) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
