Key points
- Higher resolution backgrounds (640 x 480 - while PSX uses 320 x 240)
- The only version of RE3 with instantaneous transitions between pre-rendered backgrounds instead of half a second delays.
- The only version of RE3 that natively allows the player to skip the door loadings by pressing the map button during them. Unfortunately, there is no mod to make it automatic yet. In addition, there are now automatic door skip cheats for the PS1 and Gamecube versions.
- Suffers from PSX's shakey polygon/vertices effect (the same effect can be produced on the original RE2 Version when running in software mode) due to low-precision vertex transformation.

Essential improvements
- Translates the game in english and makes it compatible with newer systems and controllers
- Fixes a lot of the shortcomings of the original PC release
- Adds a series of QOL optional toggles like door removal, favorable RNG for puzzles and enemy placements, and univocal outfit names.
- Reintegrates The Mercenaries extra mode with an option in the title screen, removing the need for a dedicated executable.
