Use the /B /TX Rayman4.bf command line argument or launch the game using CheckApplication.exe.[8]

Framerate is locked at 32 FPS

The game may lock itself to 32 FPS on modern operating systems due to broken 3D audio compatibility.
Use DirectSound 3D restoration software
If you use DSOAL, turn on EAX reverb in options, otherwise you'll encounter a freeze and crash with "Program crashed (un)expectedly. Going down..." after completing the first four mini-games after entering the unlocked big gate.
For IndirectSound you might want to edit eax1 and eax2 lines to true in dsound.ini[9]

FMVs fail to playback in-game

Modify video_folder
  1. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ubisoft\Rayman4\{05D2C1BC-A857-4493-9BDA-C7707CACB937}\CheckApp
  2. Modify the video_folder entry.
  3. Change the directory value to the current installed directory.

The game cannot be maximized properly after task switching using DSR/VSR resolution

Set your desktop resolution the same as DSR/VSR resolution. Alt+Tab ↹ more than once, if still the same.

Crash on game launch
