- Saves can be imported from Quest for Glory: So You Want to Be a Hero. Also, after completing the game it is possible to export character data to file in order to be imported to the next game in the series, Quest for Glory III: Wages of War. The import/export function is present in both the original version and the fanmade remake

Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire Unofficial Remake
A complete and free remake of the game, it adds new VGA style graphics, an updated Point-and-Click UI, and a complete soundtrack.
It can be found here.
Import patch
The GOG.com version has problems importing characters from Quest for Glory: So You Want to Be a Hero (the character will always be identified as a fighter, even if he's not actually one). There was an official patch for this issue.
