Renderer differences

RTX

Uses hardware path tracing, and as such requires graphics card and driver capable of VK_NV_ray_tracing Vulkan extension.
New high resolution models of weapons and items, updated textures and lighting.
Exposes a wide number of sun position and environment lighting settings.

OpenGL

Uses OpenGL engine of Q2PRO source port.
Does not require special hardware.
On non-RTX hardware can be set via command line, see API section.

Widescreen resolution

For proper weapon appearance and Hor+ support cl_adjustfov variable must be set to 1. See gallery below.
Fix weapon appearance, enable Hor+[2]

  2. Open or create text file autoexec.cfg using Notepad or other text editor.
