Quake (2021) is a first-person shooter game in the Quake series. It is an enhanced version of Quake ported to the Kex Engine by Nightdive Studios, featuring support for widescreen resolutions up to 4K, higher framerates, optional graphical updates, cross-platform online multiplayer, as well as a new expansion titled Dimension of the Machine.[2]
The enhanced version of Quake was released on August 19, 2021 and provided as a free update on Bethesda.net and Steam. It was also released on Microsoft Store and included with Xbox Game Pass.
Similarly to the 2020 Unity engine re-releases of Doom and Doom II, the enhanced version of Quake features free curated add-ons that can be downloaded through Bethesda.net with custom vanilla-capable mod support.[2]

~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/2310/
in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (2310) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
