Verify Steam cache[citation needed]
  1. Find Poker Night at the Inventory in your Steam Library
  2. Right click on it
  3. Click Properties
  4. Go to the Local Files tab
  5. Click Verify Integrity of Game Cache
Reinstall game[citation needed]
  1. Find Poker Night at the Inventory in your Steam Library
  2. Right click on it
  3. Click Delete Local Content...
  4. Once it's done deleting the game files, reinstall the game
Delete the preferences and save files[citation needed]

On every startup, popup asks for permission to run update of VC Redistributable

  2. Delete or rename 31280_install.vdf.

Steam fails to automatically add the proper registry value telling itself that the redistributable has already been installed for the game.
  1. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Valve\Steam\Apps\31280.
  2. From the Edit menu, add a new DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it vcredist.
  3. Select the new value, then click Modify... from the Edit menu.
  4. Change the "Value data" to 1, then click OK.
