Issues unresolved

Crash just before level starts

Happens simultaneously to all connected players with an access violation in AK::MemoryMgr::SetMonitoring

Can possibly be worked around by waiting some seconds before pressing ready, after loading has finished for everyone^[3]

Issues fixed

Black screen on start up or random crashes during the game

Don't run PAYDAY with Teamspeak 3 or Ventrilo - both will likely cause the game to fail to load.

ALIENWARE users make sure you have AlienFX installed.

Update DirectX and PhysX^{[citation needed]}

Game resolution doesn't look right despite setting screen native one

Change renderer settings file^{[citation needed]}
Go to `%LOCALAPPDATA%\PAYDAY\` Edit `renderer_settings.xml` with a text editor There are two lines of text. On the bottom line, find `resolution=` and make sure that's followed by e.g. `1920 1080`. Finally, then look for `refresh_rate=` and make sure that's followed by e.g. "60".

PhysX redistributable installation aborts

Fix everlasting first time setup^{[citation needed]}
Open a command prompt Run `reg add HKCU\SOFTWARE\Valve\Steam\Apps\24240 /v PhysXNew /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f`
