PCGamingWiki:Assignments
PCGamingWiki are regularly running assignments to allocate and distribute digital PC games to wiki contributors in order to complete game articles. If you are interested in picking up an upcoming game for a few hours of your time, please feel free to apply for an available assignment to Andytizer or Rose on the PCGW Discord. If you wish to fill out an assignment for an unlisted game, please feel free to contact Andytizer#6342 on the PCGW Discord, and an assignment for the game might become available. You can also see the full historical Assignments table.

Applications
How to apply
If you are interested in applying for an Assignment, please private message the admin Andytizer#6342 or editor Rose#2088 on Discord.
Please mention:
- Wiki username.
- Some backgrounds reasons on why you think you are suitable for the task.
- Timeline of article completion.
Once the application is received, Andytizer or Rose will respond and update the table below with your application.
Important: Before filling in an application or requesting a title it is strongly recommended that you read and understand this section as we enforce standards that must be met. Failure to fulfill any of the following may result in you being ineligible to apply for any future assignments unless fulfilled.
Applicants
- Applicants need to display a history of high quality editing on PCGamingWiki.
- If you are a new user, you can ask for advice in Discord (#articles) and you can request a 'spare' game key so that you can begin to build a history of editing on PCGamingWiki (see PCGamingWiki:Assignments/Keys).
- Allocation will normally be between 0-3 days before a game's release in most circumstances.
- Multiple applicants are encouraged, and the 'assignee' may be chosen based on past performance, the number of previous review codes received or in a diceroll. Applicants are tracked via public notes from Andytizer and Rose.
- If the game is highly popular, multiple copies of the game may be allocated depending on the number of review codes received or purchased.
- If you have a history of modding games and will attempt to create a fix (e.g. create an FOV hack) you will be given priority.
- Andytizer will have final say in who is chosen to receive the review code.
Article completion guidelines
- Article must be completed in a timely manner.
- All relevant aspects of the article must be filled out as per the Sample article (except for the Introduction section, which is optional).
- Research issues and fixes in forums, include common issues into the wiki even if you have not personally experienced them.
- When article is 'complete' please PM Andytizer#6342 on Discord with a summary of the state of the article. Andytizer will use this information to update social media channels, for example a Tweet would be written like 'Check out our article on (game), it has (x) interesting/unique feature but has (x) issue and (x) DRM/always-online' etc.
- Upkeep of the article must be maintained for at least 7 days documenting any new developments such as issues or fixes. If the title is in an active development state such as Early Access then the article should at least be maintained until official release.
