This Assignments page is PCGamingWiki's system of allocating digital PC games to contributors in order to complete the game fix articles.

Important: Before filling in an application or requesting a title it is strongly recommended that you read and understand this section as we enforce standards that must be met. Failure to fulfill any of the following may result in you being ineligible to apply for any future assignments unless fulfilled.

Applications

How to apply

If you are interested in applying for an Assignment, please private message the admin Andytizer on Discord.

Please mention:

• Wiki username.
• Some backgrounds reasons on why you think you are suitable for the task.
• Timeline of article completion.

Once the application is received, Andytizer will respond and update the table below with your application.

Choosing applicants

• Andytizer will have final say in who is chosen to receive review code.
• We will try to allocate around 1 week in advance of game's release date.
• If there are multiple applicants, they may be ranked in order of past achievement, out of 'fairness', or in a 'coinflip'.
• If you are planning to generate a fix (e.g. create a FOV hack) you will be given priority.
• If the game is highly popular, multiple copies of the game may be allocated depending on number of review codes received or purchased.

Article completion guidelines

• Article must be completed in a timely manner.
• All relevant aspects of the article must be filled out as per the Sample article.
• Research issues and fixes in forums, include common issues into the wiki even if you have not personally experienced them.
• Publicise the article in all relevant forums. This includes any official forums and the Steam Community Discussions if available.
• Upkeep of the article must be maintained for at least 7 days documenting any new developments such as issues or fixes. If the title is in an active development state such as Early Access then the article should at least be maintained until official release.

Only 'notable' games should be on the list:

• No games that are 'shovelware'.
• Popular games (anticipated to have 100+ concurrent players).
• Important or critically acclaimed games.

Syntax

• title should match the name of the PCGW article of the game.
• state can be various states, but the common ones are available, assigned, complete, and not available. Visit Template:Assignment/tickcross to see all possible states.
• OS (comma-delimited) works the same as the OS column of the Availability table.
• platform works the same as the DRM column of the Availability table.
• release_date expects the typical MMMM DD, YYYY format (e.g. January 1, 1970). Might or might not work with other date formats.
• applied is a list of users (comma-delimited) whom have applied for the assignment so far.
• completion_date is the date when the assignment was completed by the assigned user(s).
• assigned is a list of users (comma-delimited) whom have been assigned to perform the assignment.
• notes is for notes that might apply.
