On March 29, 2020 PCGamingWiki transitioned over to using a single sign-on (SSO) solution to bridge the wiki and community sites and accounts using a new unified account referred to as the PCGW Account. Instead of having two separate accounts with two separate passwords (and potentially usernames), your username and password is now shared between both sites through the PCGW Account. This was provided as an alternative solution for a few months earlier, but on this day the ability to sign in using the old separate accounts of the wiki and community sites were disabled and all users are now required to create a new PCGW Account and sign in using that account in the future.

If you do not already have a PCGW Account you will have to create one here. Note that e-mail verification is required and used to link existing accounts so be sure to type the e-mail address correctly!

  • The PCGW Account will automatically link up with your existing account(s) on either site if the provided e-mail address matches an existing account.
  • If you did not have an existing account on either the wiki or community site, a new profile will automatically be created for you when you sign in using the PCGW Account.

Please note that the verification e-mail will be sent from account@pcgamingwiki.com and might arrive to the junk folder of your mailbox.

General information

PCGW Account management page

I already have an account to the wiki and/or community site(s). Do I still need to sign up for a PCGW Account?

Yes, if you do not already have a PCGW Account you will have to create one. Note that the ability to create a PCGW Account has been available for a few months now during its testing phase, so some users might already have a PCGW Account.

I prefer to sign in using my old account. Is this still possible?

No, this is no longer possible as that functionality has been disabled. The new PCGW Account will automatically link up with your existing account(s) on either site if the provided e-mail address matches an existing account.

I created a PCGW Account but I am unable to access my old account through it on one (or both) of the sites.

This is usually due to some data not correlating properly between the old account(s) and the new unified account. Please send an e-mail to help@pcgamingwiki.com where your ticket will be generated and looked at by the server administrator.

How do I connect my Steam account to my existing PCGW Account?

Please sign in to the federated identities of the account management site and click on Add, which will take you to the Steam Community OpenID login page where you will finalize the link.

I would like to change the e-mail address, name, or password for my PCGW Account

Please sign in to the account management site where those options are available.

The verification e-mail did not arrive in time. How do I generate a new verification link?

Please use the Forgot Password option on the account management site and change password of your account. In the process a new verification e-mail will be sent to your e-mail address.

Please note that the verification e-mail will be sent from account@pcgamingwiki.com and might arrive to the junk folder of your mailbox.
