  3. Edit d3d8.ini.
  4. Set ForceWindowedMode to 1.

Controller support

In the retail version, XInput controllers have issues using both triggers simultaneously, and with the right stick being unrecognized.
Fix button assignment[citation needed]
  1. Download and run XInput Plus.
  2. Set the Target Program to OBSCURE2.exe.
  3. Go to DirectInput and check Enable DirectInput Output.
  4. Click on Customize and change the following:
    1. Assign Right Stick-X to Slider1
    2. Assign Right Stick-Y to Slider2
    3. Assign Left Trigger to Button11
    4. Assign Right Trigger to Button12
  5. Click Apply, this will install DLL files in the installation folder.
