The continue button has been permanently broken after the Online servers were taken down,[1][2] rendering the game almost unplayable. For a fix, see fan-made patch.

  2. Delete or rename attract_english_ntsc.vp6 and ea_bumper_english_ntsc.vp6.

Random crashes on Nvidia GPU

Rename the game's executable[citation needed]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>.
  2. Rename nfs.exe to anything else.
  3. Run the game using the renamed file.

Activation error in Origin version

Create folder[8][9]
  1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\ in 64-bit OS or C:\Program Files\ in 32-bit OS
  2. Create folder Origin Games
  3. The game should activate now

Controller deadzone issues

Fix left stick deadzone[10]
  1. Download NFS Pro Street Generic Fix.
  2. Extract the contents to the installation folder.
  3. Deadzone can be adjusted in NFSProStreet.GenericFix.ini.
Modify deadzones[11]
  1. Download Input Deadzones for Controllers.
  2. Unzip nfs-ps-input-deadzones.nfsms.
  3. Download and run NFS-VltEd.
  4. Import unzipped nfs-ps-input-deadzones.nfsms.
  5. Save.
