Need for Speed: ProStreet is a singleplayer and multiplayer racing game developed by EA Black Box and published by Electronic Arts. It is the eleventh entry in the Need for Speed series.
Unlike past Need for Speed titles, ProStreet centers around closed-circuit racing and does not features an open world. The game's career mode's story have players assumes the role of Ryan Cooper, a former street racer who enters a series of showdown events run by several racing organizations.
It was released in North America on November 13, 2007, followed by Europe and Japan on November 22, 2007 and January 31, 2008 respectively.
It is known that patch 1.1 caps the frame rate at 30 FPS. (See NFS Pro Street Generic Fix for workaround)[1] Following the shut down of online servers, the game was rendered unplayable where the continue button in-game become broken, requiring a third-party fix to be playable. (See NFS Pro Street Generic Fix.) [2][3]
Availability
- DLC was not released for PC, but it can be accessed with NFSPS Extra Options (free DLC cars) or NFSPS Multi Unlocker (original DLC cars prices).
