Key points
- The retail version of Myst: Masterpiece Edition comes bundled with a "Making of" video on the disk
- The retail version uses a 16 bit installer, which makes it impossible to install on a 64 bit version of Windows.
- Make sure you have Quicktime 2 or greater installed: Myst relies heavily on Quicktime videos for normal gameplay. The newest version of Quicktime can be downloaded from Apple's site. Regardless of version, the installers will install Quicktime if it is not present on the system.
Availability
- Myst: Masterpiece Edition (initially released in 2000) is an enhanced version where the images are re-rendered, the soundtrack remastered, sound effects enhanced, and some cinematics redone.
