Issues fixed

Black screen or crash on launch

AMD users: Update display drivers to 18.8.1 or newer[3]

Frame rate drops while using v398.82 or newer display drivers (Nvidia only)

The latest Nvidia drivers have specific overrides for the game that causes frame rate losses in some areas.[4]
This has been fixed in v411.63[5]
If you cannot upgrade, use Nvidia Profile Inspector to set 0x0094C538 and 0x105E2A1D to 0x0.

Low texture resolutions

Update the game as this is fixed as of build 167353.[6]

Bad CPU utilization

If using Windows 10, switching to DirectX 12 may yield better performance and CPU utilization.

Controller does not work when playing via Steam Play (Linux)

Right-click the game in Steam and select Properties. Set "Steam Input Per-Game Setting" to "Forced Off".
This is confirmed to be working with Xbox One controllers. Although it is unconfirmed with DualShock 4 controllers at this time, the same method should work without issue.

Notes

  1. When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/582010/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (582010) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
