Issues fixed

Running the game on 64-bit Windows

Although the game installer is 16-bit, the actual game is 32-bit. There are two ways of running the game:

Method 1: Run the game directly from the disk

Running the exe from the disk[citation needed]
  1. In the Monopoly CD, go to the MONOPOLY folder.
  2. Run the MONOPOLY.EXE file to play the game.

Method 2: Manually install the game

Setting up the game manually[citation needed]
  1. Somewhere on the computer (ex. the Desktop), create a new folder called Monopoly.
  2. In the Monopoly CD, go to the MONOPOLY folder.
  3. Copy the contents of the folder and paste them into the folder that was created before.
  4. In the Monopoly CD, go to the SETUP\WING folder.
  5. Copy WING32.DL_ to Windows SysWOW64.
  6. Open a COMMAND PROMPT as Administrator.
  7. CD to Windows\SysWOW64
  8. Enter 'expand WING32.DL_ WING32.DLL' (without typing the single quotes).
  9. Go into the installation folder
  10. Apply Windows 95 or Windows 98/Me compatibility to the MONOPOLY.EXE
  11. Run the MONOPOLY.EXE file to play the game.

Method 3: Use updated 64 bit installer
