Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2, also known as Rockman X Anniversary Collection 2 in Japan, is a compilation of singleplayer side view scrolling platform games developed by M2 and published by Capcom. It is the second part of the Mega Man X Legacy Collection, following Mega Man X Legacy Collection.
The game is an enhanced compilation of several Mega Man X games originally developed by Capcom, and consists of Mega Man X5 and Mega Man X6 for the PlayStation, and Mega Man X7 and Mega Man X8 for the PlayStation 2. Similar to the first part of the Legacy Collection, it's possible to switch between the North American and Japanese releases of X5 and X6, and various regional releases of X7 and X8. Being an enhanced collection, several additional features were added, including multiple screen filter options, Rookie Hunter mode, faster loading time and, specific to Mega Man X8, improved frame rate.
New to the game are the X Challenge Vol.2 and Museum modes. The game also contains the The Day of Σ OVA that was originally included in the PlayStation Portable game Mega Man Maverick Hunter X.
The game was released on Steam on July 24, 2018.

Subtitles | Most dialogue is through text in Mega Man X5 and X6. Text boxes in X6-X8 are accompanied by voice acting during key scenes. Subtitles are restricted to FMV sequences in Mega Man X7 and X8 only. X7's subtitles are forced on with no option to disable, while X8's subtitles can be toggled on or off. The Day of Σ OVA is unsubtitled. | |

Localizations
Language | UI | Audio | Sub | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|
English | Voices in Mega Man X6 are exclusively in Japanese. In X Challenge, X4's Maverick bosses and Gate lacks several voice clips if set the game's universal system language to non-Japanese. | |||
Traditional Chinese | Only Mega Man X8 is fully localized. Choose "Chinese edition" with the "Change game edition" button on main menu. | |||

Italian | Only Mega Man X7 and X8 are fully localized. Choose "Italian edition" with the "Change game edition" button on main menu. | |||
Japanese | The "English (US) edition" of Mega Man X7 has proper dual audio support. X8 and all other versions of X7 lack proper dual audio support (i.e. the English version can't be played with Japanese voices and vice-versa) as a result of the games being directly ported from their respective versions. Undub mod for Mega Man X8, download. |
|||
Spanish | Only Mega Man X7 and X8 are fully localized. Choose "Spanish edition" with the "Change game edition" button on main menu. |
