Mega Man X3[Note 1] is a singleplayer side view scrolling platform game developed by Minakuchi Engineering and published by Capcom. It is the third main entry in the Mega Man X series.

The original game was released on SNES in 1995 and later received an enhanced port on PlayStation and Sega Saturn in 1996 that contains enhanced sound, music and the newly-added FMV cutscenes. The PlayStation/Sega Saturn ports were later ported to PC and released on March 28, 1997.

The game's installer was written for a 16-bit system and doesn't run on a modern OS, requiring workarounds such as running 32-bit InstallShield 3 software to install the game (which doesn't create desktop or start menu shortcuts for the game). The game's framerate is capped at 59 FPS.

The original SNES version of the game was later included in Mega Man X Legacy Collection.
