Widescreen resolution

Correcting FOV for widescreen resolutions requires a DRM-free/cracked executable (version 1.1 or 1.2).
Set resolution and FOV[4]
  1. Run the game and exit.
  2. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  3. Open newconfig.cfg.
  4. Edit the following lines to set the resolution.
    • set r_screenheight "XXXX"
    • set r_screenwidth "XXXX"
  5. Add the following lines to set the correct weapon FOV.
    • For widescreen resolutions:
      • set r_first_person_fov_x "70"
      • set r_first_person_fov_y "50"
    • For ultra-widescreen resolutions:
      • set r_first_person_fov_x "70"
      • set r_first_person_fov_y "40"
    • For multi-monitor resolutions:
      • set r_first_person_fov_x "75"
      • set r_first_person_fov_y "30"
  6. Open mohpa.exe with a hex editor such as HxD.

Game Crashes to Desktop

On some missions, mainly the first one and at bootcamp when you hit the ragdoll, the game will crash to desktop. This happens when running 1.2 patch + fix. Play these missions running 1.0 version of the game.

InstallShield setup does not recognise valid CD key

  1. Run setup\setup.exe under compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 2) and enable Run this program as an administrator. Compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3) will not work.
Tested only on the "Director's Edition" version of the game.
