Blurry visuals on lower quality settings

Selecting a different quality preset than "Epic" scales down the internally rendered resolution. Additionally, selecting the "Low" preset and switching directly to the "Custom" preset does not change the scale setting back to its default, resulting in a blurry image.
Force resolution scale manually[1]
  1. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  2. Open Engine.ini.
  3. Add the following to the end of the file and save it.
[SystemSettings]
sg.ResolutionQuality=100
This will overwrite any scaling settings defined by the presets.

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/284240/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (284240) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
