Issues unresolved

APEX PhysX cannot be disabled

Unlike the original release, the game has no settings for its APEX PhysX implementation, instead simply forcing it to be enabled. Although there is a setting for it in the settings.xml file, changing the value has no impact.[1]
Due to PhysX not supporting AMD GPUs, this significantly impacts performance when playing the game with one.

  1. 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/1030830/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (1030830) may differ in some cases. "People in other threads have suggested changing the value of "apex" in the game's settings.xml, but opening the benchmark shows that it does not work for me (I have tried setting it to 0, 1, 2, 3, 9999, all of them had PhysX activated, as can be seen here: [[1]])""
