This is an automated incomplete in-progress list of games believed to have critical or significant compatibility issues when run on N and KN versions of Windows 7 onwards that do not have Media Feature Pack installed, as those games rely on codecs and media players that are not included by default in those Windows versions and which are presumed to be difficult to install individually.
Notes:
- Such versions and setups of Windows are extremely rare, even in the areas where they are legally required to be made available (European Union and South Korea).
- Most software that would rely on OGG, FLAC and Opus music files, are presumed to be able to have game-internal methods of playing them back (e.g. TrackMania United Forever), and are not included in this list for the time being.
- To make a game show up on this list, add one of the following middlewares to a PCGW page:
|cutscenes that starts with "Windows Media" or "Microsoft MPEG", |audio that starts with "Windows Media", or |interface that starts with "ActiveX".
