Verifying DRM

In comparison to other PC storefronts, verifying Microsoft Store DRM is a relatively complicated procedure that requires a number of specific steps.
Instructions[1]
  1. Install a select title from the Microsoft Store or Xbox App.
  2. Following installation, run the game for its initial startup, then exit out.
  3. Afterward, MOVE all of the game's files outside its Xbox/Windows installation folder.
  4. Thereon, COPY all games files, most important of which is the executable application, into an external folder.
  5. After copying completes, open the new external folder and run the game's executable.

If the game's executable opens without complication AND without asking for Xbox Live log-in credentials, then the game is DRM-free.
