Extract sr2.7z files to the installation folder (password=sr2).
Run upx.bat for GOG.com version of the game.
Edit sr2.ini to set the resolution.

Compatibility issues under Windows 10

Use DxWnd^{[citation needed]}

Use the following configuration in DxWnd:

Set the DirectX Version Hook setting to DirectX8. It can be found under the DirectX tab.
Set the Frames per Second setting to limit and 1 msec. The setting can be found under the Timing tab.
