Special Patch
By default, the main gameplay in the Steam version of Koikatsu! Party is completely absent, only allowing the use of the character creator. ILLUSION has opted instead to release it as an external patch which can be downloaded from their official website.
HF Patch (Unofficial)
The HF Patch for Koikatsu and Koikatsu! Party is a massive compilation of all official free content updates for the base game, removal of mosaic censors, many of the most popular plugins and mods used by the community, and fixes for common bugs and issues. This includes fan translations and optional machine translation and subtitle plugins to fill in the gaps in official translations. It also includes the special patch, so you don't need to install the special patch if you're going to install the HF patch on a Steam copy of the game. The latest versions can be found here.

- The save folder contains the user's actual in-game progress, however this does not include custom character cards or screenshots. These are stored in <path-to-game>\UserData\chara and <path-to-game>\UserData\cap respectively.
