Issues unresolved

Vehicle models stuck together after collision

Reducing chance of issue occurring[citation needed]
  • Change resolution to 1600x1200 (Russian version) or 1280x960 (English version) if supported.
  • If resolutions of 1024x768 or lower are the only option, avoid colliding with cars and objects to avoid experiencing game breaking physics.

Falling through the floor or walls of the game map

This often occurs after changing seats with other drivers many times in a short period.
Change seats again or call 911[citation needed]

Rivals disappear after changing seats

This makes it arriving at the destination first impossible. No known fix.

No more remaining drivers to hire after majority market share

A workaround is to initiate a trucking race, finish it in any position and the remaining unemployed truckers (assuming they participated in the race) may be for hire after the race. This workaround is not guaranteed to work.

Employees engage in any race after majority market share

May be triggered by starting the race directly or by changing seats.
While often considered an in-game mechanic, this is very likely a memory leak. No known workaround.

Issues fixed

"Your computer does not have graphic accelerator" error on launch

No Accelerator Error
No Accelerator Error
Use dgVoodoo2[2]
  1. Download dgVoodoo 2.
  2. Extract dgVoodooCpl.exe and the contents of the MS\x86 folder into <path-to-game>.
  3. If the game does not start, set htruck2.exe to run in the Windows XP (Service Pack 3) compatibility mode.

Rendering issues

Use D2GI
This fix requires game with version 8.1.
Fixes most bugs and is more stable than dgVodoo2 or GOG d3d8.dll wrapper.
Adds widescreen support.
Game has performance issues when in-game map is opened.
  1. Download the latest version of D2GI
  2. Extract the contents of the archive into the installation folder.
  3. Optionally, edit d2gi.ini to set custom resolution, toggle VSync and set window mode. See the README for details.
