The game will not launch for many players. There is no known fix.

Game freezes

The game may stutter attempting to establish an online connection.[5][6]
Block all network connections from the game[7]
  1. Go to the Control Panel, click on Systen and Security, then Windows Defender Firewall.
  2. On the sidebar, click on Advanced settings.
  3. On the sidebar, click on Outbound rules.
  4. Under Actions, click on New Rule...
  5. Select Program, click on Browse... and select <path-to-game>\Journey.exe, then Block the connection. Check every box on the next page, enter a name for the rule, click on Finish.
Right-click the rule and select Disable Rule when it's no longer needed.
Disconnect from the internet[7]
  1. Go to the Control Panel, click on Network and Internet, then Network and Sharing Center.
  2. On the sidebar, click on Change adapter settings.
  3. Right-click the adapter used to connect to the internet and select Disable.

Issues fixed

Noise from center speaker on surround sound system

The center channel of a surround sound system is constantly producing white noise in the game.[8]
Set to stereo[8][9]
  1. Open the Sound applet from the Control Panel of Windows.
  2. Select the default output device and click Configure.
  3. Change the audio channels configuration to Stereo.
  4. Launch the game again.
Use Special K to mute the center speaker.
