Issues fixed

Game failing to launch

Part of the official minimum system requirements listed on the Epic Games store page is a CPU supporting the AVX instruction set. Meeting the requirement should solve the issue.[7]. A patch has been provided to remove AVX requirement[8].

Game freezes

The game may stutter attempting to establish an online connection.[9][10][11] Update 1.35 appears to have fixed this issue.[12]
Launch the game directly from <path-to-game>\Journey.exe, disabling online connectivity.[13]
Block all network connections from the game[14]
  1. Go to the Control Panel, click on System and Security, then Windows Defender Firewall.
  2. On the sidebar, click on Advanced settings.
  3. On the sidebar, click on Outbound rules.
  4. Under Actions, click on New Rule...
  5. Select Program, click on Browse... and select <path-to-game>\Journey.exe, then Block the connection. Check every box on the next page, enter a name for the rule, click on Finish.
Right-click the rule and select Disable Rule when it's no longer needed.
Disconnect from the internet[14]
  1. Go to the Control Panel, click on Network and Internet, then Network and Sharing Center.
  2. On the sidebar, click on Change adapter settings.
  3. Right-click the adapter used to connect to the internet and select Disable.
