Issues unresolved

"Black Square" bug

Same issue that occurs in FarCry 2
When using DX10, using Bloom in combination with HDR (enabled by default in DX10) will cause a black square to fill parts of the screen in many different scenarios, but mainly when looking down. Disabling bloom also disables brightness adaptation, making it hard to see properly in dark areas but the only known workaround is to disable it, or play in DX9 mode.[2]

Issues fixed

Missing sound effects

Set sound quality to 24 bit, 48000 Hz[3]

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/33280/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (33280) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
