Download and run DxWnd. Click on Edit, then Add. Set Path to `<path-to-game>\GameData\bin\indy.exe`. Set Do not notify on task switch. Set Acquire admin caps. Set the window position and size. Set Desktop for borderless fullscreen windowed. Click OK, then File and Save.

Vertical sync (Vsync)

Disable vsync^{[citation needed]}
Go to `<path-to-game>\GameData\indy\`. Open `default.cfg` with a text editor. Change `vsyncinterval:2` to `vsyncinterval:0`.

High frame rate

Uncap frame rate^{[citation needed]}

Go to <path-to-game>\GameData\indy\.
Open vars.cfg with a text editor.
Change fpsLimit=30 to fpsLimit=0.

Notes

Changing FPS may cause bugs with animation and desynced audio in cutscenes.

Going above 60fps will cause gameplay issues so it's recommended to limit the fps at 60 to prevent gameplay breaking bugs.^[1]

Uncapping FPS may render game unbeatable.^[2]
