Issues unresolved

Game refuses to launch after launcher

There have been many cases where game simply refuses to launch after starting game from launcher. For some users simply reselecting settings[1] and making sure first video- and audio device has been selected if they appear multiple times[2]. For some users nothing works and resolution selection isn't available[3]. Manually adding setting to registery doesn't work as launcher uses checksum and resets settings with every launch.

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/92000/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (92000) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
